Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) - Flooding brought on by overwhelming downpours killed no less than 102 individuals in three areas of northern Afghanistan, debacle authorities said Friday.
Handfuls are as of now absent after the flooding Thursday night in Jawzjan, Faryab and Sar-e-Pul areas, Afghanistan's Natural Disaster Management Agency said.
In Jawzjan area, more than 100 individuals have been harmed and in excess of 30 towns remain submerged, said Gen. Faqir Mohammad, the nearby police boss.
He cautioned that the amount of losses may climb as the flooding proceeds.
In Faryab area, flooding has slaughtered 40 individuals, harmed handfuls and left 10,000 household creatures dead, representative common senator Abdulsatar Barez said.
Witnesses reported seeing individuals climbing trees to spare themselves from the climbing water.
