PARIS: After months of pressure between the United States and Russia over issues running from Edward Snowden's discernment breaks to the Syrian clash, US secretary of state John Kerry looked to extension the strategic hole on Monday by giving his Russian partner a bizarre endowment of potatoes.

Kerry, who was in Paris with Russian remote clergyman Sergei Lavrov to sledge out portions of a peace meeting on Syria planned for January 22, amazed his partner by opening up a container and giving him two vast Idaho potatoes.
